Jamilla Mohamed is no doubt a household name in Kenya.
Her mastery of the Swahili language and style of anchoring news at Citizen TV, oftentimes on Wednesday, has won her the admiration of many budding journalists and even news lovers.
She has also won the hearts of many through a Memo that she often shares during popular Citizen TV's current affairs show dubbed the News Gang.
The journalist began her media career as a marketing officer and she has risen in the ranks to be now the Managing Editor of Citizen TV, Swahili department.

Well, Nairobi Leo has done some digging and can reveal that Jamila is married to Ahmed Farah.
Farah is the country manager of Trademark East Africa, a position he has served since 2016.
He was recently appointed by President William Ruto to be a member of the National Investment Council.
"I take this opportunity to thank H.E. @WilliamRuto for appointing me to the National Investment Council of Kenya. I look forward to serving and working with its members to fulfill the core objectives of the Council. I believe Kenya has vast investment opportunities," he tweeted on December 3, 2022.
In reaction to the news of her appointment, Jamila took to Twitter and wrote:
"Mabrouk to my best half! May Allah keep guiding your path, always. Keep representing!"
Farah also worked as the economic advisor of Mombasa county between October 2014 and May 2016.
He also worked as a Director at Deloitte and Touche, East Africa between October 2012 to September 2014.
Farah made entry into management while working at Pricewaterhouse Coopers between October 1999 to December 2009.
He is a certified internal auditor and a certified public accountant.
He holds an MA in International Development (Poverty, Conflict, and Reconstruction) from the University of Machester (2007-2008).
He did his bachelor's degree in commerce and accounting at Kenyatta university between 1994 and to1998.
