Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has told off Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga over his calls for secession.
In a statement via Twitter on Saturday, May 27, CS Kuria dared the former Prime Minister to secede, saying that the government must change Kenya.
He argued that more than thirty thousand Kenyans have been contributing to the Housing Fund generating Ksh 1.8 billion which he said can be multiplied to Ksh 45 billion and enable the government to build eighteen thousand houses and create one hundred and eighty thousand jobs.
The former Gatundu South MP further noted that eighteen million jobs would be created if three million salaried Kenyan workers contribute to the fund.

“Did you know that 30,000 Kenyans have been contributing to the Housing Fund already? They have raised Ksh 1.8 Billion already. With gearing I can easily get investors to multiply this to Ksh 45 Billion of houses (25X). That's 18,000 houses at a cost of Ksh 2.5 Million.
“Each house creates 10 jobs. That is 180,000 jobs right there just from a pool of 30,000 voluntary contributors and a gearing factor of 25X. Now we have 3 Million salaried workers in Kenya. By the same rule that's 18 Million jobs. Secede if you want. We must change this nation,” said Kuria.
Raila on Friday threatened to write to the United Nations (UN) to ask for self-determination.
The former Prime Minister gave President William Ruto an ultimatum of seven days to denounce Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s remarks that the Kenya Kwanza government is a shareholding company.
