President William Ruto on Sunday, May 19, a host to Tinsley Nduta at State House, a little girl who went viral for crying over the reopening of schools.

The Head of State had promised to meet the four-year-old girl after he persuaded her over the phone about the need to go to school.

"Hosted four-year old Tinsley Nduta, a pupil at Lizzie Wanyoike Preparatory School who became a social media sensation after expressing her reluctance about school reopening. She had a change of heart following a persuasive phone conversation I had with her last week," the president stated on X.

President William Ruto hosted Tinsley Nduta and her parents at State House.

Tinsley was accompanied by her mother, Agnes Wairimu, her father, George Ngugi, and her sister, Maureen Wambeti.

During their meeting, President Ruto disclosed that he emphasized the critical role of education in shaping young minds and preparing them for productive roles in society.

In the earlier phone conversation with Tinsley, the Head of State told the 4-year-old girl that school was the only place where she could learn new things to help her in the future.

"Tinsley, I saw you complaining about school. You have to go to school because it is important that every child in Kenya goes to school. Every parent must take their children to school because it is the only way we can impart knowledge, learn new things and subjects that can help you in the future," the president told Tinsley over the phone.
