Renowned content creator Mike Muchiri has revealed that he is okay moments after he was arrested in Kasarani, Nairobi.
In a statement via his X account on Thursday, July 11, Muchiri said he was with a number of lawyers.
“I have a multitude of lawyers with me. I am ok,” Muchiri stated.
Lawyer Steven Mbugua confirmed in a statement said that he was with other lawyers at Kasarani Police Station to provide Muchiri with legal support.

The update comes after the popular content creator announced that police officers had apprehended him in Kasarani.
"They are arresting me at Kasarani,” Muchiri notified his followers.
Muchiri however did not specify the reason he was being arrested.
Before the arrest, the content creator was live on his Instagram page while driving and said he was told to go to the Kasarani Police Station.
He claimed that the police officers trailed him from Nairobi CBD to Kasarani.
“Please guys amplify on Twitter, I have been told to enter the Kasarani Police Station, but I feel like I am being targeted because I have been followed from town,” Muchiri stated.
Muchiri arrest angered Kenyans online who demanded the content creator's release.
The popular entertainer has been vocal during the recent anti-finance bill and anti-government protests.
Update:
Muchiri has been freed. In a video posted by activist Boniface Mwangi, Muchiri said he has been freed by the police.
"I am free, I am okay," Muchiri stated.
