Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in six counties, including Nairobi and Nyeri, on Monday.

Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in six counties on Monday, September 28.

In a notice on Sunday, September 27, the company said the interruptions will affect seven scheduled outage areas in Nairobi, Nandi, Vihiga, Migori, Nyeri and Kirinyaga counties.

In Nairobi County, the interruption will affect Oloitoktok Road and Riara from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Areas listed in the notice include Oloitoktok Road, part of Gitanga Road, Mararo, part of Argwings Khodhek, Ole Dume, Riara Road, Makindi Road, part of Ngong Road, part of Joseph Kangethe and part of Jamhuri Estate, as well as adjacent customers.

In Nandi County, customers around Tinderet Tea Factory will experience an interruption from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The affected locations include Chepkemel, Tinderet Tea Factory, Mbogo Valley and adjacent customers.

In Vihiga County, power will be interrupted in the Mudete area from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

The notice lists Evojo, Mudete, Lososi, Lusengeli, Kaimosi Sawmill and adjacent customers among the affected locations.

In Migori County, the scheduled interruption in Kiamokebe and Nyamaranya will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

The affected areas include Kiamokebe Center, Gokeharaka, Ntisinye, Ngugu, Nyamaranya, parts of Isebania and adjacent customers.

Nyeri County will have two separate scheduled outage areas. The first, covering Muthinga, Gititu and Mung’aria, will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Affected locations include Sagana Falls Local Transformer, Ihigaini, Gakoe Coffee Factory, Mung’aria Coffee Factory, Kaigonde, Kangubiri Senior School, parts of Kanderendu, parts of Muthinga, Kanyi Transformer, Gititu Market, Dispensary and adjacent customers.

The second interruption in Nyeri, covering Sasini and KWS Offices, is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Kenya Power listed Lady of Lourdes, Embassy, Njengu, Baraka Estate, Eunice Academy and adjacent customers among the affected areas.

In Kirinyaga County, the Kangaita and Karaini areas will experience a power interruption from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

The affected locations include Kangaita Tea Factory, Old Kangaita Market, Kiranja Junction, Kiamwangi, Mutuma, Kamuruana and adjacent customers.
