The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced over 100 job opportunities across various ministries.
In a notice on Tuesday, July 13, the commission notified the public of opportunities in the Ministry of Lands, Forestry, Mining, Transport, Co-operatives, Labour, Gender and Sports.
In the Ministry of Lands, PSC announced a vacancy for the Secretary of Lands and Director of Land Evaluation.
At the same time, PSC is seeking to recruit a Director of Agroforestry in the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, a Secretary of Forest Development, seven Deputy Directors of Forest Management and Conservation, two Deputy Directors of Ecological Restoration, two Assistant Directors of Ecological Restoration and nine Assistant Directors of Forest Management and Conservation.
The Commission also announced a vacancy for a Director of Fisheries and the Blue Economy, a Deputy Government Chemist in the Mining sector, two Assistant Government Chemists, and an Inspector of Drilling, with four vacancies.

Details of the requirements for the positions and additional vacancies can be accessed through the PSC website, https://www.publicservice.go.ke/.
Additionally, applications are to be submitted online using the same website.
"Interested and qualified persons are required to make their applications online through the Commission website: www.publicservice.go.ke or jobs portal: www.psckjobs.go.ke so as to reach the Commission on or before 13th August 2024," PSC stated.
The notice comes even after former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria ordered the PSC on July 3 to suspend new and ongoing recruitment in the public service.
"In view of expected budget cuts in the ongoing budget rationalization therefore, I urge you to halt any new recruitment and any that is ongoing and has not been concluded. During the suspension of employment, the government will conduct audit and clean all public payrolls," Kuria sated in a letter to PSC Chairman Amb. Anthony Muchiri.
