Labour Cabinet Secretary nominee Dr. Alfred Mutua's net worth has increased by Ksh42 million.
Appearing before the National Assembly's Committee on Appointments on Sunday, August 4, the former CS disclosed that he is worth Ksh462 million.
Mutua noted that his wealth consisted of his residences, land and business entities.
"My net worth is Ksh462 million made up of assets that I have like homes, land where I do a bit of farming and a few businesses that I have," Mutua remarked.
During his vetting, the cabinet nominee claimed that he acquired his residential home in Nairobi through proceeds from the renowned Cobra Squad show.

"I bought my house in Nairobi with the proceeds from Cobra Squad. It was very successful across Africa and I still get royalties from it being shown in other countries," the former CS stated.
While declaring his net worth on October 17, 2022, when he was being vetted as Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Mutua revealed that he was worth Ksh420 million.
Meanwhile, the CS nominee pledged that, if approved by the parliamentary committee, he was going to push for more foreign firms to bring their outsourcing services into the country.
"We are not just sending people to go work overseas, we want to bring jobs here. I am going to push, If I am confirmed, to get more companies to bring their outsourcing services to Kenya so that people can work from here for overseas firms," Mutua said.
Before President William Ruto dissolved his last cabinet, the former Machakos governor served in the Ministry of Tourism after a cabinet reshuffle. He previously served in the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
