Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua has cautioned the acting Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli over the violation of human life and dignity.
In an update via X on Saturday, August 10, Karua said the acting police IG will be held responsible individually over human rights violations by the National Police Service (NPS).
She pointed out that the Kenyan constitution is a living document that should be adhered to by all people.
“Reminding the Inspector General National Police Service (NPS) that the constitution of Kenya 2010 is a living document that must be adhered to by all persons, respect for human life and dignity is not an option, your continued violations will be accounted for individually,” Karua warned.
This comes a day after Karua confronted a contingent of police officers that was manning Jimi Wanjigi’s residence in Muthaiga.

She ordered the police officers to leave Wanjigi’s home saying they didn’t have permission to be at the premises and threatening to sue them if they didn’t produce a court order.
"This is not a police camp, this is a private home, and the family would like to live in peace without disturbance. You have done what you have done, and now we are asking you to leave,” said Karua.
She added, “You are undesirable guests. We expect you to withdraw immediately or else come with a court order. Failure to which we will sue you in individually for damages.”
Karua visited Wanjigi’s residence in the company of DAP-K party leader Eugine Wamalwa after the police raided the home.
