Royal Liner LTD has revealed what caused an accident involving one of their buses that was ferrying passengers to Malaba.
In a statement by the bus company on Thursday, October 31, it was revealed that the accident occurred when a trailer rammed into the bus.
According to preliminary investigations, the driver of the trailer had lost control before ramming into the bus.
In the process, two passengers were injured with part of the bus was wrecked.

More people are reported to have been injured as the trailer also hit other surrounding vehicles that were on the highway.
"We regret to confirm that one of our buses KBQ 008C destined to Malaba from Mombasa was this morning involved in an accident less than 5kms from Malaba town," read the statement part.
"It was reported that a truck had lost its brakes and ended up ramming into our bus that was stationary. Two passengers sustained injuries and were rushed to the nearby medical facility."
Further, the bus company indicated that police were still investigating the incident even as the scene was cleared by the authorities.
"Investigations are currently ongoing and a comprehensive report will be issued by the relevant authorities," the company added.
