"I had a lot of hope in ODM and believed in it."

Activist Morara Kebaso has disclosed that he was a youth leader in the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party when he was 22 years old.

Speaking during an interview on Friday, December 13, Morara claimed that he used some of his money that he received from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) to pay for a premium ODM membership.

He explained that he had so much belief in the party at that time, adding that even his parents supported the Raila Odinga-led party.

“I was a youth leader in ODM when I was 22 years old. I remember I spent some of my HELB money to pay for a premium membership which was Ksh 20,000. I had a lot of hope in ODM and believed in it. My parents have supported ODM,” Morara remarked.

However, he accused Raila of aligning with the current regime, claiming that the ODM leader took advantage of the Gen Z protests.
