Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) has announced the closure of two institutions in Migori County.

In a public notice on Thursday, January 23, TVETA noted that Cambridge Universal College, located in Isebania, and Yolifa Institute of Business Studies in Rongo Town, ceased operations on January 20 and January 21, 2025, respectively.

The authority cited the failure of both institutions to meet the registration and accreditation standards as the reason for the closure.

"The closure of these institutions is due to failure to meet the registration and accreditation standards as stipulated under Section 17 of the TVET Act Cap 210A," the notice read.
