Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter, on Wednesday, officially joined the United Democratic Alliance party.
The MP joined the party after he availed himself at the UDA offices in Nairobi where he went to seek clearance to participate in the nomination exercise scheduled for April.
He was welcomed to the UDA party by the Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua.
Hours after officially being welcomed, Keter took to his social media to comment on the development.
He explained his move even as he urged Kenyans to exercise political tolerance ahead of the polls.

"There should be no bitterness or hate where the truth and righteousness exist. Those who stand for nothing fall for anything. My appeal to the people of Kenya is to be self-driven guided by law to tolerate political ideologies without hate," he said.
Keter who was an ardent critic of deputy president William Ruto announced that he will henceforth be campaigning for the DP in each and every county.
He said he will ensure the DP wins the presidency come August 9, polls.
"We are now ready to soldier on the 2022 presidential bid and move to all counties of Kenya to seek and solicit more votes to make my brother Dr William Samoei Ruto the fifth president of Kenya," he said.
Keter is a two-term MP and is now seeking a third term.
He will participate in the UDA party nominations in a bid to seek the ticket ahead of the polls.
