President Ruto's visit to Parliament comes at a time when a standoff has persisted in the National Assembly over the majority leadership of the House.
Both the Head of State's Kenya Kwanza Alliance and Raila Odinga's Azimio have maintained that they hold the majority in Parliament and hence deserve the majority leadership.
Wetangula retreated on Tuesday to prepare the ruling after a heated debate on the same. He promised to deliver the ruling on Thursday, October 6.
"I will consider the matter that you have prosecuted before the house and I will give you a reasoned ruling touching to the facts, the jurisprudence the constitutionality of the issue and any other matters that we conversed on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at 2:30pm," Wetangula stated.
