Sudi Didn’t Sit KCSE in 2006, His Alleged Index No Belongs to Another Student – Court Told

A witness appearing before an anti-corruption court on Tuesday testified that Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi did not sit KCSE examinations in 2006 as indicated in his documents.

Appearing before Magistrate Felix Kombo in a case where Sudi is accused of forging his KCSE and Diploma in Business Management certificates, KNEC principal examinations secretary Nabiki ene Kashu told the court that Sudi did not register for the exams, meaning there is no way he sat for them.

In Sudi’s KCSE certificate, he claims that he sat for the exam at Highway Secondary School, however, according to Kashu, the code provided is for Parklands Secondary school.

“We established that a candidate by the name Sudi did not appear in the 2006 Knec database for either Parklands Secondary School or Highway Secondary School,” Kashu testified as quoted by The Star.

Kashu further noted that the index number (401006/081) provided by Sudi belonged to another student named Obaje Bob Onyango.

The KNEC official told the court that Onyango registered and sat the 2006 KCSE examinations at Parklands Secondary School.

“There is no possibility of two schools sharing a code number during a given examination. Similarly, there is no possibility of two candidates sharing an index number.

"The purported copy of certificates presented to Knec for authentication purposes is obtained from a forged document,” Kashu noted.
