Three more witnesses have testified in the case against Jowie Irungu and journalist Jacque Maribe. The two are accused of murdering businesswoman Monica Kimani.
The three witnesses appeared before Lady Justice Grace Nzioka on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. The three are; Chief Police Inspector Fredrick Gichuki, David Duncan of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), and Job Maina from the National Registration Bureau (NRB).
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP) told the court that the trio provided evidence that is crucial in solving the case.

“David Duncan of NTSA confirmed that the vehicle allegedly used to transport Jowie to hospital belonged to Maribe,” the ODPP report read in part.
NRB's Job Maina substantiated the identity details of the two accused while police inspector Gichuki took the court through a trajectory movement of Maribe's vehicle as captured by CCTV camera, while on major roads in Nairobi.
The prosecution has so far presented 25 witnesses in the case with eight more remaining.
Jowie is the prime suspect in the murder of the businesswoman. The two were released on bond.
Last week, the court barred Jowie from living or working in Nairobi after the ODPP filed a petition to have his bail terms reversed.
This is after he was accused of violating the bail terms and was involved in a scuffle at a Nairobi club.
The case will be heard on November 15.
