President William Ruto on Monday conferred honours on IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati commissioners Boya Molu and Abdi Guliye after the Jamhuri Day Celebrations.
The President honoured Chebukati with the Elder of the Golden Heart (EGH).
The award to Chebukati and the two commissioners comes with less than a month before their Exit from office.
"In recognition of distinguished and outstanding services rendered to the nation in various capacities and responsibilities, I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, confer Awards and Honours to the following persons," Ruto's gazette notice read in part.

Order of the Golden Heart of the Republic of Kenya is the highest award in Kenya.
It is split into three classes: Chief of the Order of the Golden Heart (C.G.H.), Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart (E.G.H.) and Moran of the Order of the Golden Heart (M.G.H).

Guliye and Molu were awarded the Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (EBS). The list had 35 Kenyans who were recognized.
Orders, decorations, and medals of Kenya are awarded by the President of Kenya "in recognition of outstanding or distinguished services rendered to the nation in various capacities and responsibilities".
Awards are made by the president upon the advice of a National Honours and Awards Committee in the president's office.
Individuals are nominated for awards by district committees, government ministries, religious organisations, non-governmental organisations, individuals and others.
