A random Kenyan has come out to issue a gift to Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale, thanks to the manner in which he stewarded the Senate Special Committee that looked into Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza's impeachment.
Identified as Dennis Rapenda, the Kenyan was impressed with Khalwale's leadership over the 11-member team that probed Mwangaza's conduct following the impeachment.
"For the first time I agreed with you, I owe you a new year mbuzi (goat), where do you want it delivered," he offered to Khalwale.

In its report tabled to the Senate on Friday, December 30, Governor Mwangaza was absolved of the allegations mounted against her by the members of the Meru County Assembly.
It was indicated in the committee's report that none of the allegations were substantiated.
"None of the charges against Governor Kawira Mwangaza was proved," Senator Boni Khalwale.
The Kakamega Senator added," all the eleven members agreed and recommended to this house that all the charges were not proved or substantiated."
The Meru County Assembly that impeached Governor Mwangaza was the first to appear before the committee to present its case on why 67 out of 69 MCAs impeached the Meru Governor.
The MCAs impeached Governor Mwangaza on grounds of abuse of office claims and gross violation of the Constitution.
