Former Cabinet Secretary without a portfolio Raphael Tuju has asked speakers at the funeral service of Former Education CS George Magoha to keep off politics.
Tuju who was announced as the official emcee of the function said it is the wish of the former CS's family that he be accorded a decent send-off devoid of politicking.
"The family has requested politely that on this occasion, we keep the service dignified and that there will no encounter with politics today. Please bear with us as a family because it has been difficult. Please no politics," Tuju said.
He addressed the gathering at the Consolata Shrine, Westlands where a requiem mass was held.

According to Tuju, Magoha was his relative and their history dates back decades ago.
He says despite them serving in the same cabinet, no one knew that the two were cousins.
"I served with Magoha in one cabinet but my relationship with him was different. It goes down to 83 years ago," Tuju said.
"I can see former PS looking at me strangely when I say this. When I had issues with the ministry of education I never went to Magoha but to Belio.I never told you that Your boss is my cousin."
Magoha was pronounced dead on January 24 after suffering cardiac arrest.
The body of Magoha will be lifted to Siaya on Friday ahead of burial on Saturday, February 11.
