Amani National Congress party formally led by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has dismissed calls to shut the party and join the United Democratic Alliance Party led by President William Ruto.
The Party held a consultative meeting on Sunday during which it was discussed that they will not fold their party to join UDA.
UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala had asked the parties to fold and join them.
"ANC Party Council Bureau held a consultative meeting under the leadership of the Party Leader, H.E. Issa Abdallah Timamy in Lamu County," a statement by the party read in part.

During the meeting, it was agreed that the party will continue to play its role in the Kenya Kwanza Coalition, particularly helping the President in delivering his campaign promises.
The Party said it will soon roll out robust mobilization exercise at the grassroot level to popularize the party.
"Amidst the high cost of living, drought and a record number of Kenya seeking opportunities, the Party is focused on improving the lives of Kenyans through its legislators in Parliament," ANC added.
"There will be massive grassroot activities including mass recruitment of members and political education in the branches among others."
At the same time Movement for Democratic Growth (MDG) party has also turned down calls to fold.
MDG party leader David Ochieng on Monday termed calls by Malala as wishful thinking saying they will remain an independent party.
Malala had asked parties affiliated with Kenya Kwanza government to fold and join UDA.
