Lawyer Cliff Ombeta has termed the first press address by DJ Fatxo on the death of Geoffrey Mwathi, alias Jeff, as blunderous.
Mwathi is reported to have dropped dead from the 10th floor of Redwood Apartment along Thika Road where DJ Fatxo lives on February 24, 2023.
After days of silence over the death of Jeff and amid uproar by Kenyans, the popular Mugithi Singer deemed it fit to address the press on Sunday, March 12, 2023, presumably to give his side of the story.
However, Lawyer Ombeta has called out the DJ saying he should better keep quiet to avoid putting himself in a fix.

Ombeta opined that it is important he shuts his mouth and let his lawyers speak over the matter.
"Dj Faxto. Stop blundering. You are supposed to be quiet at this moment. Nil by mouth. Anything you say now is dangerous to you or your defence. Don't give cops ground to contradict or investigate. Let your lawyer speak. You can always deny what he says. "MISQUOTED" always helps," Ombeta tweeted.
Speaking at the press conference, DJ Fatxo said he left the house on the day Jeff died and upon coming back, he found him missing.
He said he accompanied those in the house in rushing to the police station to report the incident.
Fatxo said he was the one who contacted Mwathi's family to inform them of his death.
"I went with Jeff to my house and then I immediately left with three ladies then later came back after a few hours finding that Jeff was not in the house and the others were there, I am the one who went with them to report to police that Jeff is missing," he said.
"There is this issue going on that I did not mourn the death of Jeff. I reached out to his family, I'm the one who actually contacted them and told them that Jeff is no more. I told them I would have supported them to bury their son."
The matter was reported at Kasarani Police Station where the matter is being handled.
