Four People who were in a group of 16 Christian faithful fasting to meet Jesus have died in Malindi, Kilifi County.
A police report seen by Nairobi Leo has placed Pastor Makenzie Nthenge of Good news international church at the heart of the fasting programme with police reports accusing him of brainwashing his faithful.
The report was filed by one Karume Fondo who exposed the inhuman ordeals on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
Karume further alleged that the religious leader has been putting his faithful on a fasting mission before that resulted in many dead bodies that are later buried in a mass grave in a Malindi forest.
"He further alleged that there is a mass shallow grave of victims of that brainwashing totalling to 31 bodies in an unidentified place at Shakahola Forest within Langobaya in Malindi sub-county," a police report seen by Nairobi Leo indicates.

Following Kar ume's report, Police on Friday morning raided a few households and were able to rescue 15 people among them six were emaciated and in critical condition.
Medics from Malindi were called in to assist in evacuation but while in process of rescuing the victims, four of them died.
"Medics from Malindi sub-county hospital declared them posthumous," the police report indicates.
"The 11 rescued victims have been admitted to Malindi sub-county hospital while the three are in critical condition. The deceased there details are not established but elimination fingerprints were taken for identification," the police report adds.
Those admitted are Allan Obiero aged 17 years from Majengo in Kisumu, Wycliffe Waimoi aged 43 years from Kisumu West, Paul Karisa Katana from Bamba in Kilifi, Jane Nyambura aged 38 years from vihiga, Mercy Aoko aged 35 years from Kisumu, Felix Wandera aged 37 years from Busia, David Abuhaya aged 49 years from Vihiga, Collins Kabaye aged 22 years from Mbale, Monica Masika aged 36 years from Kakamega, Alfred Shitemi aged 32 years from Vihiga and Unknown female adult under critical condition.
Police were unable to identify the mass Grave by virtue of the vast land and hostile residents in the forest.
It is further suspected that there are many victims in the forest land believed to belong to the suspect.
Dead bodies were taken to Malindi Sub-County hospital mortuary pending identification and autopsy.
