President William Ruto on Monday evening had a call with the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on ending the conflict in Sudan.
The Head of State noted that Kenya would work closely with the United States and IGAD to alleviate to coordinate humanitarian response to the crisis.
"The humanitarian situation in Sudan is worsening. Kenya will work closely with the United States, IGAD, AU, UN agencies, and other friendly countries to coordinate a humanitarian response to the crisis," President Ruto tweeted on Monday, May 1.
On the other hand, Blinken said spoke with President Ruto to, "reiterate U.S. support for coordinated international and regional efforts to end the conflict in Sudan and ensure unimpeded humanitarian access."

Fighting erupted in Sudan on April 15, between two rival military groups, the army and the paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces (RSF), as they battled for control.
According to World Health Organisation, over 413 people have been killed and 3,551 injured in Sudan since intense fighting broke out between the two groups.
Both sides have accused each other of violating the ceasefire as the fighting rumbles on.
