Azimio La Umoja One Kenya alliance has suspended its demos after the Kenya Kwanza Alliance team yielded to its demand.
The Azimio faction led by ODM leader Raila Odinga had asked the bi-partisan team appointed by President Willia, Ruto to kick out Eldas MP Adan Keynan from its team for them to progress with talks.
“We, in Azimio la Umoja One Kenya announce, on a without prejudice basis, that we are prepared to go back to the Bipartisan talks with our opposite side in Kenya Kwanza and are prepared to stand down the demonstration scheduled for tomorrow Thursday, 4th May 2023, provided that Kenya Kwanza recuses Hon. Adan Keynan from the bipartisan Committee and immediately announces his replacement on the said Committee," Azimio said in a statement.
Ruto's side on Wednesday heeded the demand and excused Keynan from the team.
The move has now led to the cancellation of Thursday's demos.

Initially, the Ruto team had asked the Kenya Kwanza side to remove David Pksoing from its team arguing that he was a member of the Kenya Kwanza coalition after his Kenya's Union Party joined the Kenya Kwanza team.
The Azimio however declined the move and instead said both Keynan who is of the Jubilee party and Pkosing are members of the Azimio La Umoja coalition.
Jubilee and KUP parties are legally still Azimio affiliate parties.
Though they have expressed willingness to work with President Ruto, they have followed the legal process of exiting the outfit.
