Kenya National Highways Authority has announced the closure of the Kyang'ombe Slip Road along the Mombasa Road near the former Ramtons Hypermart.

The closure will begin Thursday, August 17 and lapse on Friday, August 25.

"The closure is to allow for the construction of additional two lanes comprising a deceleration lane into Kyang'ombe Slip Road and a tailback storage lane for traffic destined for Eastern Bypass," KeNHA Director General Kungu Ndungu said in a notice.

Motorists seeking to access ICD have been asked to proceed straight along the Mombasa Road and exit at Labaratory and allied into ICD road.

KeNHA said normal traffic shall be restored once the work is completed.

"Motorists are urged to exercise caution and road courtesy as well as cooperate with the police and traffic marshalls for better management of traffic as they approach the section," Ndungu added.
