Billionaire businessman Jaswant Singh Rai was Sunday evening released by his abductors, more than 48 hours after his family reported him missing.
He was abducted on the evening of Friday, August 25. Rai is a renowned businessman who owns Kabras Sugar, Raiply, and Ugandan-based Sarrai Group.
His lawyer Kioko Kilukumi confirmed his release and said the businessman is fine but a bit shaken by the events that transpired.
The billionaire businessman was reportedly warned against revealing details of his abduction to anyone.
Rai was kidnapped after a double cabin vehicle blocked his Toyota Landcruiser at the junction of Wood Avenue in Kilimani opposite Kenwood Apartments around 4 pm, CCTV seen by Nairobi Leo showed.

The footage showed four men getting out of the vehicle and pulling the occupants of the billionaire car into their vehicle and speeding towards Galana Road.
His vehicle remained abandoned at the junction and was towed to Kilimani police station after members of the public reported it.
Kilimani Police Commander Moss Ndiwa said they are investigating the incident adding that the motive of the incident is yet to be known.
Multiple reports indicate that the kidnapping incident is associated with his business dealings in the Sugar industry.
On Sunday, remarks by President William Ruto in Bungoma hinted that there could be bad blood between him and the government.
The president's speech fell short of declaring him among the Sugar cartels in the country that he has vowed to deal with.
