The Kenya Power and Lighting Company has announced a scheduled power interruption in Seven Counties on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.
The interruption will affect select areas in the said counties.
In Nairobi County, the affected areas will be part of the Kayole and Saika areas. The specific estates are Saika Estate, Maili Saba, Mwengenye, Obama, Njiru, Slaughter House, KPCE Factory, Danmills, Komarock Sector 1, Kayole Junction, Kayole Primary, Kayole Police Station, Mihango Stage and adjacent customers.
Dagoretti and Karen will also be affected by the blackout. The specific areas are Part of Dagoretti Road, Warai South Road, Warai North Road, Nyumbani Children's Home, Pepo Lane, Three D Lane, Windridge, Mudodo Lane, Link Road, The Hub, Don Bosco, and adjacent customers.

The power blackout will be between 9 am to 5 pm.
In Kiambu County, the power interruption will affect part of Thindigua, Paradise Lost, Runda Palms, Citam, Evergreen, Runda Mhasibu, Wadi Degla, and adjacent customers. The outage will also last between 9 am to 5 pm.
In Makueni County, the blackout will hit Kilala Market, Mukuyuni Market, Ukia Girls, Ukia Market, Kivani Market, Kivani Sec, Kali Market, Mbuani Market, Utagwa Market, Kyamuthei Secondary School, Kiliungi Market, Kitundu Market, Kyau Market, Engavu Secondary School and adjacent customers. The outage will also be between 9am to 5pm.
Between 9am to 5pm , power blackouts will be experienced in Mrima Primary School, Mount Sinai, Barabara ya Mchanga, Mwananguvuze, Corner Zamani, Harambee, Corner Mpya, Cornerpolice, Vijiweni, Bububu, Mbuta, Shonda, Ujamaa and Shikaadabu in Mombasa county.
In Murang'a County, the affected areas are Nginda Girls School, Nginda Village, Ihumbu Market, Kaharo Girls School, Kaharo Village, Gathera Secondary School, Gathera Village, Itaaga Village, Itaaga Secondary School, Gachocho Market and Murang'a Technical Training Institute.
In Nyeri County, Kiawara, Nairutia, Ruiries, Tanyai, Matopeni, Ngbit Sec Sch, Lamuria, Bellevue, Kariguini, Mugunda, Kamiruri, Marina and Mahiga Meru will experience the blackout that will begin from 8am to 4pm.
Tumutumu and Kiangoma areas of Nyeri County have also been scheduled for power interruption. Specific areas are Giagatika Market, Mbogoini Village, Tumutumu Hosp, Tumutumu Secondary School, Kiamubira Primary School, Kiangoma Market, Kiangui, Kanyanjiru, Mbari ya Njora, Karie C/Fact and Wakamata Polytechnic.
In Kirinyaga County, the affected areas are Kagumo Market, Kabonge Market, Mutira Girls High School, Riakiania Market, Mugaya C/Fact, Karaini C/Fact, Kiaragana Market and adjacent customers. The Outage will be from 9am to 4 pm.
