Students of Multimedia University on Tuesday morning went on a rampage to protest over what they termed as a delay in the disbursement of Helb money.
Pictures and Video footage seen by Nairobi Leo showed a group of students lighting bonfires on the road even as they chanted solidarity songs.

Some of the students who spoke in video footage seen by this writer said they would protest until at night to force the government to act on Helb disbursement.
The students also barricaded the Magadi road even as other footage showed them engaging police in running battles.
Police were forced to hurl tear gas canisters to disperse the youths.
The protests come after Embakasi East MP Babu Owino censured University leaders for being inconsiderate of students' welfare.
The MP asked Student leaders to organise protests to force the government to release Helb Monies.
