President William Ruto on Monday, February 26, met his Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Museveni at his Kisozi country home in Uganda.
Interestingly, ODM leader Raila Odinga was also present in the meeting.
According to President Ruto, the two discussed issues of interest for both Kenya and Uganda adding that energy and petroleum featured in the discussion.

"Kenya and Uganda are committed to the deepening of the long-established diplomatic and economic ties between our two countries. This relationship includes bringing all the seven East African Community nations closer in their ultimate goal to form the East African Political Federation," Ruto stated.
The Head of State disclosed that they had discussed Odinga's African Union bid.
Ruto added," Also discussed was the declared candidacy of Kenya's former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for the Africa Union Commission chairmanship."
