Nyali MP Mohammed Ali now claims that some elements in Mombasa County have hired youth to disrupt Deputy President William Ruto's meetings scheduled to be held today (Friday) and Saturday in Kisauni and Nyali.
According to a post on social media, the legislator is calling on the inspector general of police Hillary Mutyambai and the Mombasa regional security commissioner to provide security during the functions.
"We are aware that some elements within Mombasa have hired youths to disrupt Deputy President empowerment function today in Kisauni and Nyali tommorow. We want to know what the security apparatus are doing? The Inspector General is an Independent Office please protect Kenyans from lawlessness of a few Coast hoodlums whose political career is finished. The Regional Commissioner and County Commissioner this is to notify you of the wicked plans," part of Ali's post reads.
The MP recently shared a poster that captures DP Ruto and him dubbed 'meet the people hustler tour Mombasa Edition.'

Rising Political Temperatures in Kenya
The country has in the recent past experienced rising political temperatures due to early campaigns by politicians.
Deputy President Ruto’s rally in Burma Market, Nairobi, on Thursday, January 28, 2021 was interrupted by a section of youth chanting BBI.
The incident came a few days after ODM leader Raila Odinga was booed by a group of rowdy youth when he visited Githurai to drum up support for Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
