NACADA asked members of the public to visit its website to check when there are vacancies to be filled.

The National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) has dismissed social media reports that it has announced job opportunities.

In a statement on Monday, July 29, NACADA flagged a statement advertising job vacancies that purported to have been issued by the authority.

NACADA pointed out that it is not currently recruiting and invited members of the public to visit its website to find out when there are vacancies to be filled.

“We have taken note of a fake job advertisement being shared online. Please be advised that we are not hiring. Be checking our nacada.go.ke for vacancies,” NACADA stated.

The fake social media post claimed that NACADA was hiring new workers on permanent and pensionable terms.

The listed positions were social media workers, human resource managers, procurement officers, It officers, plumbers, record keepers, HTS providers, teachers, auditors, and electricians.

“The National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse NACAD was established by an Act of Parliament in July 2012 to coordinate a multi-sectoral effort aimed at preventing, controlling, and activating the impact of alcohol and drug abuse in Kenya.

“Towards achieving this mandate. NACADA wishes to competitively recruit dynamic, result-oriented, and self-driven Kenyan citizens to fill the following vacant positions within its establishment,” the fake advertisement stated.
