Kenya Airways has announced flight changes on a number of routes in a bid to improve the efficiency of its services.

In a statement on Monday, August 5, the airline disclosed that it had already introduced daily flights to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to meet the high market demand.

"In response to market demand, KQ introduced daily flights on KQ484/5 which operates at mid-day to Dar es Salaam effective 1st July 2024 with additional flights slotted on Wednesday and Friday. This change will offer KQ guests a total of 28 weekly flights to Dar es Salaam providing them with more flexibility and options for travel," read part of the statement.

At the same time, KQ noted that effective August 1, its four weekly night flights to Johannesburg, South Africa, will be operated on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner to provide passengers with more space and comfort.

Kenya Airways further disclosed that its three weekly non-stop flights from Nairobi to Cape Town have been also upgraded and will be operated on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Additionally, the airline intimated that its five weekly flights to Douala, Cameroon, will be non-stop effective August 11.

"Effective 11th August, all 5 weekly flights to Douala, Cameroon, will be operated non-stop from Nairobi and back without a tag offering shorter flight time and better connectivity through Nairobi and beyond," KQ remarked.

The airline, however, announced that, effective August 9, it will suspend all five flights to Bangui, Central Africa.

"This will allow the airline to refocus its efforts on optimising its route network and improving overall operational efficiency. We apologise to all guests who will be impacted by this change," KQ added.
