Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has reiterated that he will vie for the Presidency in the 2027 general election and face incumbent William Ruto on the ballot box.
Speaking on Saturday, August 31, the Wiper party leader affirmed that the opposition would drive Kenya Kwanza home adding that Kenyans were tired.
"Watu wamesema Wiper leader will be in the ballot in 2027 within Azimio as it will be and as it is even now. People have agreed. We will make sure we defeat Ruto in the upcoming election," Kalonzo announced.
The former vice President said that President Ruto had not addressed the issues raised by Gen Z in the recent protests.
Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni declared Kalonzo the defacto leader of the opposition with Raila Odinga eyeing the AUC seat.

"Kalonzo will be leading us in the operation Okoa Kenya. If you want to call him the official leader it is your choice, if not, no problem," remarked Kioni.
This comes days after Suna East MP Junet Mohamed declared himself the opposition leader owing to the fact he is the Minority Leader in the National Assembly.
Junet stated that since the Office of Official Opposition is not enshrined in the Constitution, it would be fair to call the Leader of the Minority Party in the National Assembly the Opposition Leader.
“As it stands now, I am the official opposition leader because I am the Minority Leader and you cannot take away the job God has given me. Those in the opposition should know I am their leader,” said Junet.
