This comes a year after Mandago was arrested for his involvement in the Finland and Canada Overseas Education Programme that saw parents lose over Ksh 1.1 billion.
On August 16, 2023, the former UasinGishu Governor was arrested at his residence in Eldoret and taken to the DCI regional office in Nakuru.
Mandago and three other officials face multiple charges including conspiracy to steal and abuse of office.
