Nominated Member of County Assembly (MCA) Ezra Kabuga Kihara has died.
The MCA, who sat in the Kiambu County Assembly died on Sunday, September 22, in a road accident on Thika Road.
In an update on Facebook, Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi mourned the departed MCA, describing him as a friendly and kind person.
Wamatangi noted that Kabuga used his post to make a difference, and that his passion for serving the people of Kiambu was evident.
"Hon. Kabuga was a vibrant and promising young leader, whose commitment and passion for serving the people of Kiambu was evident in every aspect of his work.

"His work in the County Assembly and in Kiambu will be remembered as proof of his commitment to making a difference. He was a friendly and kind person, always driven to improve the lives of those around him," the Governor said in his statement.
Wamatangi also offered his sympathies and condolences to Kabuga's family and the County Assembly at large.
"It is heartbreaking to lose such a young, dedicated legislator with so much promise for the future. During this difficult time, I stand with the family in grief and prayer.
"May God grant you strength and comfort as you navigate through this immense loss. We share in your sorrow and honour his memory, which will live on in the legacy he leaves behind. May his soul rest in eternal peace," he added.
Kiambu Woman Rep Anne Wamuratha also put out a message of support to Kabuga's family following his sudden demise.
"This morning’s tragic accident on Thika Road has left us devastated, as we mourn the untimely loss of Nominated MCA Hon. Ezra Kabuga Kihara. My deepest condolences goes out to the Kiambu County Assembly, his family, and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
"Hon. Ezra was a promising young leader, and his sudden departure is a tremendous loss for all who knew and worked with him. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may those grieving find strength and comfort in the memories they shared with him. Rest in peace. It hurts," she wrote on Facebook.
