Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo on Tuesday, October 1, launched her book titled 'Rig or Be Rigged.'
In a statement on social media platform X, the MP noted that the book is dedicated to her parents, particularly her mother, Damaris Auma Odhiambo.
In her speech during the launch, Millie highlighted how her mother’s resilience and values shaped her understanding of leadership and social justice.
“I dedicate this book to the memory of my mother Damaris Auma Odhiambo, an exceptional leader “who had no title” and to the memory of my father, Harrison Odhiambo Opiyo, from whom I must have picked the political bug,” Millie wrote on X.
Rig or be Rigged delves into the complexities of Kenyan politics, addressing issues such as electoral integrity, governance, and the role of women in leadership.

The event was attended by notable leaders including Environment CS Aden Duale, Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, Energy and Petroleum CS Opiyo Wandayi and NARC Kenya leader Martha Karua.
Others who graced the event are MP Babu Owino, Senator Otieno Kajwang, former Wajir Women Rep Fatuma Gedi, Senator Edwin Sifuna, Kisumu Women Rep Ruth Busia Odinga, and CAS Rachel Shebesh.
Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo, former MP Cyrus Jirongo, Homa Bay Women Rep Joyce 'Bensouda' Atieno, Samburu West MP Naisula Lesuuda, and Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru were also present.
Millie has served as an MP since 2008.
Initially nominated, she was elected to represent the Mbita Constituency in 2013 and has since been re-elected.
Millie is known for advocating women's rights and legislative reforms, contributing to laws like the Sexual Offences Act and the Victim Protection Act.
