Kenya Met disclosed that the daytime temperatures in the regions will go above 30°C.

The Kenya Meteorological Department has warned of high daytime temperatures in some parts of the Coast, Northeastern and Northwestern regions.

In a weather forecast report on Tuesday, October 8, Kenya Met disclosed that the daytime temperatures in the regions will go above 30°C in the next seven days.

"Warm days ahead. Coastal, Northeastern, and Northwestern areas will experience daytime temperatures above 30°C. Stay cool and hydrated," Kenya Met stated.

Coastal counties to experience the conditions include Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale as well as some parts of Tana River County.

On the other hand, the North-eastern region counties include Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo, while the North-western include Turkana and Samburu counties.

However, the weatherman disclosed that some parts of the highlands east of the Rift Valley and the Central Rift Valley will experience low nighttime temperatures.

"Average nighttime (minimum) temperatures will be low (less than 10°C) over some parts of the Highlands East of the Rift Valley and the Central Rift Valley," Kenya Met explained.

In terms of rainfall, it is expected to continue over some parts of the highlands east and west of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley and the Coast. 

The rest of the country is likely to be dry and sunny throughout the forecast period, according to the weatherman.

The Met Department disclosed that a number of stations in the highlands east and west of the Rift Valley and the Coast recorded rainfall in the last forecast, but the rest of the country was generally sunny and dry.
