The president's daughter retaliated after an X user declared a threat to her father's tenure.

President William Ruto's daughter, Charlene, has come to defend her father against his detractors.

In a rare presence on the tumultuous Kenyan X social network, the president's daughter decided to cover for her father, who has always been sharply criticized by the platform's users for his style of leadership.

Charlene encountered a Kenyan who made it clear that the agenda was to get Ruto out of office.

The X user, identified as 4Low Ke, was responding to a tweet sent by Charlene clarifying that she had not been appointed to a state corporation as some fake notice had indicated.

"We are just trying to have Ruti and you out of the state house; nothing personal," the netizen said.

Known to be reserved on political issues and controversies around her father's tenure, Charlene decided not to let this pass.

She, in a quick rebuttal, told off the X user.

I measured words, and in the same style,  the president's daughter said that he was not going to leave office anytime soon, this to the anger of those praying for his (Ruto's) downfall.

"He will stay in State House. Nothing personal," fired Charlene.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs dismissed claims that the president had appointed Charleen as the chairperson of the National Mining Corporation.

This was after a fake Gazette Notice announcing Charlene's appointment to head the corporation for a period of three years went viral, prompting a clarification from the ministry.

Through its official X account, the Ministry of Mining refuted the claims by attaching the original Gazette Notice indicating Joseph Kipchumba Lagat as the appointee for the post.

Additionally, the State Department for Mining had earlier shared the original Gazette Notice and congratulated Lagat stating, "Congratulations Hon. Lagat for this well-deserved appointment to steer the National Mining Corporation to greater heights."

The National Mining Corporation serves as the investment arm of the Kenyan government in the mining sector.
