The appointees will serve in various institutions for three years.

President William Ruto and his Cabinet have made new appointments in various government departments and agencies.

Through a Gazette Notice dated Friday, October 18, Ruto appointed Prof Paul Wachana as the Chairperson of the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA).

As detailed by the President Wachana will lead the board for three years.

On the other hand, Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi appointed Florence Chemtai as a member of the Kenya Trade Network Agency Board for three years.

Mbadi also appointed Lorian Mona Okongo to the Anti-Money Laundering Advisory Board. Okongo will serve as a board member for three years.

Likewise, Mining CS Hassan Joho appointed various individuals to the Meru County Artisanal Mining Committee.

Those appointed by Joho include Jackson Muthamia, Shadrack Nzaliu, Kirimi Mwiandi, John Kinyua Mugira, Damiano Kaaria Kamau, Purity Muthoni Kinyua, Daisy Maina and Ndumbi Mwenda Thaa.

"They shall be members of the Meru County Artisanal Mining Committee for three years with effect from the date of publication," read the notice in part.

In the Agriculture Ministry, CS Andrew Karanja appointed Elijah Karitu Nguyo as a member of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Animal Genetics Resource Centre for three years.
