The National Youth Service (NYS) has announced 217 openings in Saudi Arabia for its male graduates.
In a notice on Sunday, November 17, NYS disclosed that it was hiring for the positions through its client, a duly registered recruitment company in Kenya.
“Through our client reputable and duly registered recruitment company in Kenya, we are delighted to inform our esteemed graduates(Male) of exciting opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” read part of the notice.
The advertised job opportunities include heavy equipment mechanics (60), heavy equipment electricians (65), generator technicians (62) and automotive AC technicians (30).

For the heavy equipment mechanics, interested candidates should have a diploma or Trade test in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Plant Mechanics or related certification and 10 years of experience dealing with heavy equipment such as cranes.
The candidates should be able to read, write and speak English language, have a good attitude, have a travelling passport and possess a current good conduct certificate.
Candidates interested in the heavy equipment electricians roles should have a diploma or grade test in Electrical Engineering or related certification and be familiar with heavy equipment such as mobile cranes.
Similarly, they should be able to read, write and speak English language, have a good attitude, a travelling passport and have current good conduct certification.
For the generator technicians, interested candidates should have generator experience and qualified experience in the same field (10+ years) of electric diagrams, excitation system analysis and AVR mechanism.
Additionally, they should have a certificate or diploma or grade test in Mechanical or electrical, be able to read, write and speak English language, have a good attitude, have a travelling passport and possess a current good conduct certificate.
For the automotive AC technicians, interested candidates should have qualified experience in heavy equipment, vehicles and trucks A/C systems troubleshooting and be familiar with A/C systems of heavy equipment, heavy trucks or light vehicles.
They should also possess a diploma or certificate or grade test in electrical or related field, be able to read, write and speak English language and possess a current good conduct certificate.

"Formal interviews are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, November 23 and 24, 2024, in Nairobi. Candidates who meet the job qualifications will receive further information regarding the specific location and time of the interviews,” NYS stated.
Successful candidates will hired on a two-year contract period that is renewable and serve a probation period of three months.
The minimum salary for the roles ranges from 1,300 SAR (approximately Ksh44,900) to 1700 SAR (approximately Ksh58,700) while the maximum salary ranges from 1700 SAR to 2100 SAR (approximately Ksh72,600).
