Standard Media Group's Kenya Television Network (KTN) has announced the merger of its two major brands, KTN Home and KTN News, into a unified brand, KTN.
In a statement on Monday, December 2, KTN disclosed that the merger is aimed at giving the audience a comprehensive range of content under one roof.
"Since 1990, KTN has been a beloved part of your lives, growing into a heritage brand cherished by millions. From hard-hitting news to captivating entertainment, we've been your trusted companion, amplifying voices and shaping stories that matter.
"Today, we're excited to announce the merger of KTN Home and KTN News into one unified brand: KTN. This bold move combines the best of both worlds—your favourite family entertainment and trusted, fact-based journalism—all under one roof," read part of the statement.
The station emphasized that the new KTN will cater to diverse audiences, offering everything from news content to entertainment.

Meanwhile, founded in 1990, KTN was the first privately owned television station to be established in the country.
In 2015, it launched KTN News, which provided 24-hour news coverage.
