The annual Scribes End-of-Year Party took place on Saturday, December 7, at The LB Lounge in Ngong, Kajiado County.

Journalists and communication professionals gathered to relax and reflect on the year while enjoying nyama choma and music at the popular joint in Ngong.

The journalists also had the opportunity to celebrate their colleagues this year who had done some remarkable things in the industry. 

Nakuru-based photographer and journalist Suleiman Mbatiah was declared the Scribe of the Year 2024.

Mbatiah was feted for his resilience in embracing digital technology and by creating a niche in the digital space.

Scribes Kenya President Roncliffe Odit also celebrated the success of different journalists who have embarked on their individual journeys in the digital world.

Kameme TV host Agnes Nonsizi, Radio Maisha’s Billy Miya, BBC radio presenters Phylis Mwatee and Sarafina Robi, K24’s Busara Naaman, and Zakheem Rajan, a senior communications officer from the Judiciary are among the many journalists and communications professionals who attended the event.
