Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja has revealed that police have commenced interviewing kenyans who were released by their abductors on Monday, January 6.
In a statement, the National Police Service (NPS) announced that Benard Kavuli Musyimi had already presented himself to the police and was assisting the police with investigations into the abductions.
According to the Police, Musyimi, who was abducted in Ngong in December 2024 had reported the matter to Moi's Bridge Police Station after his release.
"Bernard Kavuli Musyimi who was reported missing at Ngong' Police Station presented himself at Moi's Bridge Police Station today and is assisting the investigators with further information," read the statement in part.

For the case of Billy Mwangi, Peter Muteti and Rony Kiplagat, police revealed that a team would be dispatched to get information on the abduction and their release.
"Following media reports that Billy Wanyiri Mwangi, Peter Muteti and Rony Kiplagat who were reported missing in Embu Police Station, Kabete Police Station and Thogoto Police Post respectively have reunited with their respective families, we wish to assure the public that our officer will reach out to them and their families and give them all the necessary support as we seek further information to assist ongoing investigations.
"Notably, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations is investigating all cases of missing persons in the country with most of the cases currently pending before court and others under active investigations," the police added.
The four abductees were released on Monday in various parts of the country including Machakos and Nairobi CBD. Kibet Bull is yet to be released.
Those abducted were taken by unknown armed men believed to be security operatives in December 2024.
The abductions led to public uproar with Kenyans calling for action against officers involved.
Meanwhile, NPS has distanced itself from the abductions.
