Nyandaru County will not be debating the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), Bill

Members of the County Assembly were barred from debating the BBI Bill following the impeachment of Speaker Wahome Ndegwa.

On Tuesday, February 23, 2021, the assembly was informed that the court had upheld the speaker's impeachment.

However, the MCAs went on to debate the Bill even after lights went off in the chambers.

Elsewhere the media was blocked from covering the Garissa county assembly where MCAs are currently debating the constitution amendment Bill 2020.
