25 county assemblies have passed the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) Bill.
On Tuesday, the vote by the county assemblies surpassed the constitutional threshold required for the bill to proceed to Parliament. County assemblies that approved the Bill including:

Kenya will head to a referendum in June 2021 once the constitutional threshold required to secure an election to amend the Constitution is reached.
The Bill will still need to go to the National Assembly and the Senate.
The BBI supporters have planned rallies to sell the document to Kenyans ahead of a June referendum.
