Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party deputy leader Godfrey Osotsi has disclosed that he will be unable to attend President William Ruto's visit to Vihiga County on Wednesday, January 22.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, January 21, Osotsi explained that he is currently on an international developmental tour in Europe, making it impossible for him to be present during President Ruto's visit.
"I am currently on a foreign developmental tour in Europe. While here, I have been informed that President William Ruto will be visiting Vihiga County on Wednesday, 22nd January 2025.
"The purpose of this visit, I am informed, is for the launch of the construction of Luanda Modern Market. Regrettably, I will not be attending this event for the reason stated," Ososti remarked.
The Vihiga senator, however, asked Vihiga residents to warmly welcome the head of state to the county.
