Activist Bob Njagi who was one of the three individuals abducted in Kitengala in August 2024 has claimed he saw missing Wajir MCA Yussuf Hussein Ahmed in the same location where he was held.
Speaking on Wednesday, February 5 during an interview with Citizen TV’s JKLive show, Njagi recalled peeping through a hole to the room next to him and seeing a man of Somali origin.
The activist noted that the man was brought in on Friday, September 13 in the middle of the night.
“The MCA for Wajir County was actually in the room next to where I was held. I had an opportunity of peeping through the keyhole and I saw him. I remember very well it was September Friday 13, and I noticed someone had been brought in the middle of the night which is not normal and the room he was taken to was next to mine. I did my own investigation and found out it was a man of Somali origin,” Njagi revealed.
He mentioned that after being released from captivity he did online research and found out that there was someone abducted on September 13, 2024, the same day he saw the man being brought in to where they were held.

“Immediately I was released, I did my own research online and realized that on the same day September 13, there was someone who had been abducted on Enterprise Road and that's the same man who was brought to where we were,” he narrated.
Njagi disclosed that at the time of his release, the missing MCA was alive and still being held in custody.
“I can say without fear of contradiction that when we left, we left him there, he was still alive. I heard rumors that his body had been found mutilated and dumped in Wajir,” Njagi added.
Yussuf has been missing for more than five months since he was abducted along Enterprise Road on September 13, 2024.
Weeks after he was reported missing, a body suspected to be the missing MCA was found in Lake Yakub in Wajir County causing tension in the area.
However, two DNA tests conducted on the body revealed it was not that of the Dela Ward MCA.
