Ruto's clip on the Isiolo-Mandera road went viral with a section of online users using the clip to create dance videos on TikTok.

President William Ruto has expressed that it is part of his job to know the road network in Kenya amid growing mockery from Kenyans on social media.

In response to the Modogashe trending video, Ruto noted that he is fairly versed with the road network in most parts of the country.

Through a video shared by State House officials on Thursday, February 20, the Head of State explained that he had to know most roads in Kenya to ensure that all parts of the country were developed.

Therefore, he reiterated his commitment to ensuring that the road from Isiolo to Mandera is complete.

"This is serious business. I fairly know many places. I would tell you the roads in Nothern Kenya the way I would tell you the roads in Central Kenya, Western Kenya and in many other parts of Kenya.

"It is because it is my job. This is the job I applied for - to think about the country, know what to know and ensure that no part of Kenya is left behind."

Ruto's clip on the Isiolo-Mandera road went viral with a section of online users using the clip to create dance videos on TikTok.

On the other hand, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki detailed that the road would be completed before 2027.

"This government is going to construct a road from Isiolo to Mandaera in the next 2 and a half years. There are 11 contractors on the ground as we speak," the DP remarked.

"In some sections, 50 per cent have already been tarmacked. Some people are just on the phone and they do not know anything. They do not know where Samata or Kotulo is. When 2027 comes, we shall use that road to account."
