Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has alleged that President William Ruto is doing business with Rapid Support Forces (RSF) chief, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo popularly known as Hemedti.
Speaking on Monday, February 24 night, Gachagua claimed that Ruto has put his commercial interests ahead of Kenya’s interests.
The former DP said that gold is being smuggled from Sudan to Kenya and then exported to Dubai.
“President William Ruto has messed this country in the international eye, he is doing all the wrong things, we have a policy of non-interference with other countries, and we cannot allow rebels who have been slapped with international sanctions because of genocide to meet in government facilities in Nairobi.
“You have heard Sudan is now threatening our tea exports to Sudan, and what is happening is that the President has put his personal and commercial interests ahead of the country’s interests. They are doing business with RSF chief of gold that is being gotten from Sudan, brought to Nairobi and the taken to Dubai,” Gachagua claimed.

He went on to say that Ruto cannot invite Hemedti to Kenya diplomatically and at one time before being impeached he was asked by the President to invite the RSF chief to Kenya.
Gachagua said he welcomed Hemedti and then delivered him to President Ruto adding that the meeting between the two had nothing to do with Kenya.
He mentioned that he was not even allowed in the meeting as he was asked to leave after he delivered Hemedti.
“I did invite Hemedti, welcomed him, and delivered him to the President. There was nothing about Kenya, they were discussing business about gold and other things,” Gachagua added.
“I introduced him and I was told to leave because it had nothing to do with Kenya. If it had anything to do with the country I would have sat in that meeting.”
The Kenyan government has been in the spot for the past few days after it allowed RSF to hold a meeting at KICC in Nairobi.
RSF and a coalition of allied political and armed groups signed a political charter in Nairobi on Sunday morning to establish a parallel government.
The charter, described by signatories as the foundation for a 'Government of Peace and Unity,' outlines ambitious goals including the creation of a secular, democratic, and decentralized state with a unified national army.
