Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni now says the Jubilee Party will not leave the Azimio coalition despite President William Ruto’s memorandum of understanding with Azimio leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking on Monday, March 10, Kioni noted that the Jubilee party is the second largest party in the Azimio coalition after the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
The former Ndaragwa lawmaker also said that the Jubilee party hasn’t been treated well in the Azimio coalition but they are still determined to keep Kenyans aware of issues happening in the country.
“We will not leave Azimio. ODM is the largest political party in Azimio and Jubilee is the second largest party in the coalition. While we have been there they haven’t treated us well but that does not stop us from doing what we should do as a party,”
“We will continue doing what we should and that is preparing for elections and to ensure that Kenyans are aware of what is being done,” said Kioni.

At the same time, Kioni termed Raila’s move to sign an agreement with President Ruto as a betrayal to Kenyans who support the Azimio coalition.
“This is quite some level of betrayal to Kenyans who entrusted us when we came together as the Azimio coalition,” Kioni added.
On Friday President Ruto and Raila signed a 10-point MoU between ODM and UDA at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC).
In the agreement, the two parties will work to implement the NADCO report and address issues such as unemployment and corruption while pushing for initiatives to strengthen devolution.
The two leaders also agreed on the inclusivity of all Kenyans regardless of ethnicity, religion, and geographic location.
