KMTC has also cautioned students against falling victim to fraudsters claiming they can help acquire an admission letter.

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has detailed the process of obtaining an admission letter after successful placement by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS).

In an update on Thursday, March 13, KMTC stated that once the selection process is complete, KUCCPS updates the portals of successful applicants with a message confirming their placement.

After the placement, KUCCPS sends a list of qualified applicants to KMTC for the issuance of admission letters.

At the same time, KMTC stated that successful applicants receive an SMS notification.

For preservice applicants, KMTC said it will issue admission letters based on the list provided by KUCCPS and notify candidates via SMS.

Additionally, successful applicants will receive login credentials and a password to download their admission letters and joining instructions.

On the other hand, in-service applicants will also receive SMS notifications and login credentials to access their admission letters.

KMTC has also cautioned students against falling victim to fraudsters, stating that once selected by KUCCPS, one doesn't need any assistance to obtain an admission letter.

"Successful applicants beware of individuals claiming they can help you acquire an admission letter. Once selected by KUCCPS, you do not need any assistance to obtain your letter," KMTC said.

KMTC further clarified that it no longer handles student placement for preservice courses.

"KMTC no longer handles student placement for preservice courses. This function is now managed by KUCCPS, making them solely responsible for the selection process,” the institution added.

KMTC advised students to follow official communication from KMTC and KUCCPS to ensure a smooth admission process.
